With the overwhelming success of Havana 1957’s first location in Miami Beach in 2010, expanding to the Las Vegas Strip was the next natural step. The decision to bring these brands to Flamingo Las Vegas was a perfect fit, as the hotel itself holds an iconic place in Las Vegas history, much like Havana did in the 1950s, with its legendary entertainment, vibrant nightlife, and unforgettable flavors.

The grand opening night turned out to be a momentous celebration, attended by co-founders and owners Jamil Dib and Eduardo Araoz, with inspiring speeches from CEO and owner Matias Pesce. During the opening remarks, VE Group VP of Communications, Elba Machado, reflected on the group’s journey, highlighting the first restaurant opened by VE Group in 1997 in Miami Beach, followed by the launch of the first Havana 1957 on Española Way—a milestone that set the stage for this exciting expansion to Las Vegas.

The grand opening celebration was the result of careful planning by the VE event team, whose dedication and expertise, along with the support of local PR agency Authentic Public Relations, helped bring this vision to life, ensuring an unforgettable night that truly captured the essence of Havana 1957 and Cortadito Coffee House.

Master of Ceremony Elad Assayag expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the project and helped bring it to life. He also introduced Flamingo Las Vegas General Manager Dan Walsh, who offered a celebratory toast, wishing success to both Havana 1957 and Cortadito Coffee House.

The night continued in true Havana style, with upbeat tropical and Latin vibes th the performance of Noybel Gorgoy and the band, filling the space with music that had guests dancing and fully immersed in the vibrant spirit of Cuban American culture. The opening festivities were a perfect introduction to what Havana 1957 and Cortadito Coffee House will bring to the Las Vegas Strip—a blend of tradition, flavor, and energy that makes every visit a celebration.

A Cuban American Affair: A Celebration of Culture & Cuisine
